Question Is it worth Rooting my Nexus S 4G?

I have another year before my upgrade. Is it worth rooting this phone? And if so, What should I do to it after once rooted?

All depends what your looking for...

I guess ask yourself are you happy with stock or are you looking for some other options?

Better battery? More options over what stock provides, like a true battery meter and other options found in custom ROMs.

I was very reluctant to, but I did it about a week ago and am running an awesome rom (paranoid android) . So many great features... Highly recommend!

Did Goggle Wallet carry over balance and does it still work?

I had a moment of getting brave, I went to YouTube and I attempted to root. I got the adb file and the others for this "simple" process. I couldn't get phone to reboot when tethered. I took this as a sign to stop. This isn't my first time rooting, I did my evo 4g and my evo 3d, but something told me to quit while I was ahead on this. The only reason I want to root is to get back free hotspot. My first 4gs had it, but when the security of Google wallet went phone was replaced and it no longer works.
