Nexus s 4g can't get into recovery. No root needing app's work. Can't connect to pc via usb. I tried installing different drivers and everything that goes along with that(Nothing worked). My phone works fine, I just can't get root and can't connect via usb. I must say I did root my phone and it was working fine rooted, than I tried switching roms a couple times and may have deleted a file or messed with something. If its any help in superuser its says "-rwxr-xr-x root shell" and when I try to update it fails. I hope someone can help thanks

Did you install PDAnet on your computer? That seems to install all the proper drivers. Also, make sure you have usb debugging enabled. My guess is you unlocked your bootloader which does a full wipe when you do it and it disabled it. You need to flash in a custom recovery to get root. Once you have it you must first flash a root package to enable superuser and its bianaries.

Have you tried using a different computer? Friends computer or work?

New/different USB cable?

No I didn't try but it doesn't matter cause the phone doesn't even power on anymore. Was fully charged and I took the battery out and it hasn't turned on since.

I want to buy a cracked screen Nexus s off ebay and take out the guts and pull the old switcheroo. You think a rookie like myself could pull something like that off?

It's not that bad... I've had my devices apart before. Plus there is plenty of you tube videos to guide you along the way.
