Note that the OptiG is currently available for Sprint. I doubt that they'll be releasing a CDMA/LTE version of the Nex4, since HSPA+ is nearly as fast (some times better in Chicago) and no-contract/no ties/etc is the direction they appear to want to go, with the low cost of the off-contract phone.

Just went into a Sprint store and checked it out...the Optimus G is pretty slick, I must say. I am actually leaning to getting an off-contract phone now, since I'm concerned about the quality of the Sprint network. Those in-store demos are great, until you turn off the wifi. Then you get to see exactly what the phone is like on Sprint's own 3G service.

If you want an off contract device and only have a few bills to spend, I'd just get the GalNex on eBay. I'm getting my NS4G for less than a bill off contract as well so as to free myself for when my wife's contract comes up and we jump ship.

My decision has just about been made for me. The GS3 will be $50 this Friday...worth braving the traffic. I don't expect the actual Sprint store to be as bad as Best Buy or the other retail spots. Let's hope I'm right.

Not that I'm unhappy with sprint... But I'm gonna have truly unlimited plan with Verizon for $59/month... I'm paying $75/month now with sprint after taxes... Not bad but still, better network and about the same prices... That's why I'm switching!

For $50 you get a truly unlimited plan for a not so dumb phone. (MobileWeb is not really smartphone data)

All newer Verizon prepaid feature/basic phones are eligible.
Verizon prepaid smartphones, Blackberries and touchscreens are not.
Verizon contract/postpaid phones, even versions otherwise identical to prepaid ones (i.e. VX 5600) are out.

No clue what you mean here lol... The company I'm going with hasn't released their partnership yet... That's why I'm waiting... When they do, it'll be $59/month unlimited everything using any existing and future Verizon or Sprint phones... While sprint coverage is good here, Verizon is better and has better speeds! But thanks for that info!
