My wife is hard of hearing and has hearing aids. She currently has a broken Sprint Treo Pro which has an M4/T4 HAC rating; this is the only phone she will use. I've found conflicting info about the HAC rating for the Sprint Nexus S 4G. The Sprint press release says it is M3/T3 and M4/T4. The specs on Phonescoop.com and Phonearena.com say M4 only.

Everything I have read about the Nexus S has been good as far as call volume and voice quality - incoming and outgoing. It has software noise cancellation which appears to work well for most people.

I would like to get some sort of clarification on the HAC rating. Maybe somebody from Sprint can look on a box and see if it is printed somewhere, or even ask during the training session. Ultimately I'll have to run into a Sprint store with my wife and try one out to make sure she can hear on it, though. I'm hoping not to have to go to Verizon or AT&T and walk out with an iPhone... my worst nightmare.
