    Default Nexus initial charge

    new to the forums i understood that your not supposed to turn on the phone for the first time until fully charged. but with no notification led how does it tell you? how do you know when it is fully charged?

    I don't think it really matters, plug it in turn it on and don't start using the phone till its at 94-95%. Thats as high as it will go.

    mine was around 40% charged, similarly my cr48 was at 42% charge.

    so do i turn the phone on? how do you know when its fully charged when the is phone off & charging?

    You can actually use the phone while it charges, there is no problem. Only thing if you do, it will charge at a slower pace than if you leave it off or idle.

    Same here, usually 95%, but think that is normal so the battery is not overcharged. Here is an article I found that explains it:

    The highest I've gotten mine was 96%. I've removed the battery and it shows something on the Nexus S, something like 1440mah and the battery is 1500mah so that might have to be why the Nexus S is only changing to ~95%

    First charge went to 95%
    Second went to 97%.

    As it has been said many times before, the charging circuit will limit the charge short of full to protect the battery. Don't loose anymore sleep over this.

    Thanks for the article link. I have just removed my battery meter. No sense in obsessing over it.
