I tried using the wiimote apps on the marketplace but couldn't get it to work. Is there any possible way to do this?

Also, are there any other possible controllers one could use with the Optimus S that connect through bluetooth or (very unlikely, I imagine) the usb port?

I actually wanted to try this, but haven't had time yet.

Are you on the stock rom? I've heard of users reporting ThunderRom has some pairing bug in BT.

The BT issues should be resolved as per the most recent build, read the patch notes:

------V1.3 11/29/2010------
Everybody should do a full wipe, data/factory, cache, dalvik. This includes existing ThundeROM users
Roaming indicator fixed
Bluetooth profiles fixed
Enabled hardware acceleration - Thanks drellisdee
Enabled stagefright - Thanks olmos.lalo
AndroidCentral.com is now default homepage
Added bookmarks for Androidcentral.com & ThundeROM thread
Removed wireless tether app due to wifi radio issues
Included Hotspot widget by Harald Muller

No, I'm on the stock rom ( + rooted) right now. If this works on the ThunderRom I'll be tempted to switch to that.

Is BT on the stock rom messed up? I read something about it not working on some phones, I'd have thought it would work on a new phone like the Optimus S but I just can't get it to work. If anyone else has any luck (or lack of luck) I'd like to know to see if it's just me.

FWIW none of them are working on my Optimus T either, and I'd assume they use the same bluetooth radio.

haven't even tried yet. maybe i'll get to it tonight or this weekend or something.

Has anyone been able to connect via bluetooth settings? it shows up as a device but i can't figure out a way to use no passkey when it asks for one. Also, it doesn't work on ThundeROM 1.7, but that was built from VC, i'm gonna try it on 1.6.2 before i give up.

EDIT: Wasn't able to find a DL of 1.6.2, but i can confirm that the wiimote DOES WORK with the CM7 Gingerbread ROM.

Yes that is what he is saying. that's what I've said across three threads on this forum. let Me state it clearly: Wii controllers work on cm7. yes. They really do work on cm7. We are not lying to you. this statement has not been evaluated by the food and drug administration, but it still works in cm7.

P.S. it works in cm7
