I know this phone has qHD display. Is it the pentile display that everyone complains about? How will this display compare to the e3d? I know they both have qHD but didn't know if they were somewhat different.

I'm assuming it is, just like Motorola's previous qHD displays on phones like the Droid X2, Droid 3, and Atrix. I see no reason for them to change it now. Their pentile displays have gotten enough bad press they have to be aware of how many people dislike them, so you would think it not having one would be something they would have brought attention to when they announced it.

It's pretty much the only thing holding me back on the phone.

Check out Droid Life's article on the. They give a quick and dirty summary as well as comparison pics. Note that the DX2 seems to be the worst of the bunch when it comes to the PenTile display; Moto seems to have improved it the past few months. The Droid 3 supposedly has it but I haven't seen many complaints about its screen quality, and if the Photon has it none of the previews and hands-on have noted any downsides.

All the hands on videos i've seen say that the display looks very good, has anyone heard any bad comments about Photons screen?
