Thats my only gripe about the phone... and it isnt even hardware related. The community is stagnant out there. If my old Nexus S 4g had any kind of real reception I may not even be here today lol. The rom development for that phone was awesome. Within 2 weeks I had many options...

Just wish the same was for this phone. Other than that... this phone is raw.

Somebody is working on porting cm to it. He is making progress but keeps running into hiccups. I do agree that this phone got overlooked. Luckily for us the out of the box experience is not a bad one at all. Hopefully once a good working port of cm hits the photon then the cm team will officially start supporting it.

I'm in the same boat as you. My MoPho is rooted but my bootloader is still locked. I wanted to wait for CM7 (or something similar) to come out before unlocking my bootloader and losing 4G. I did read though that there was a way to get 4G back but I wasn't sure if it was ROM specific or not.

The retain method hoses custom kernels, recovery and webtop mods.

With regards to CM7. There's only a handful of us working on it. mrinehart93 is doing most of the core work with shabbypenguin doing double duty by working on the wifi issue in his kernel and the CM port.. There are others in on this too but all those involved are doing the real life thing as well. For those that can't contrib or at least test releases, thank the posts and vote on the threads as that's really the only pay we get for the work put in.
