Photon won't turn on
Sigh. That hadn't happened for a while, and I had vaguely hoped maybe it had been fixed or something. I think this is the first time it's happened to me since the latest update.
But today I pulled it out of my pocket and it wouldn't turn on. I pulled it in and that fixed it, as it has in the past. I gather others pull the battery to get the same effect.
Hmmm, now it says it is charging, and at only 10% battery power. I suppose it's possible I left it unplugged over night and this is not a bug but just an "out of power" thing. Or maybe it's that weird battery bug where it suddenly loses power? I don't recall it saying it was low this morning. - 11-06-2011, 06:36 AM #2
Re: Photon won't turn on
I've read on the moto forums and other places that this is a common thing for some people. I had read that when placed into a pocket, the phone is struggling to keep a signal and constantly polling for data therefore destroying batt life. The only solution I came across was to not put it into your pocket if your in a grey area of coverage.
I live in a great coverage area and I notice sometimes that the batt drains quicker in my pocket. It seems these moto radios kick serious **** until they get covered by something then it all goes to ****. - 11-06-2011, 06:54 AM #3

Re: Photon won't turn on
I had a similar situation and someone suggested Juicedefender. The app has a feature to turn off the the radios. Its worked ok for me giving me more daily up time without charging. Still new to this phone (miss my Pre-) but im getting use to it.
