otterbox defender or Seidio Convert combo?

My phone came with a commuter case but was curious if anyone had tried both the convert and the defender and had any insight on which was better.

Defender is awesome, I dropped my phone ten feet off of the ground onto the bed of a pickup truck, and no problems.

The defender is awesome. I've dropped my phone in a defender case several times with no damage at all.

I know nothing about the Seidio Convert combo.

I wish there were a Car Dock which worked with an Otterbox defender case.

Not a true "dock", but I found someone on the EVO forums who actually gave me their old EVO case FREE! (I lucked out). Then I just mounted that to my dash with an old mount base and it works great!

I actually have the Seidio Active Combo and I love it. I paired it with a screen protector and couldn't ask for more.

My defender arrived today, wow what a great case my phone feel invincible and the fact the functionality remains is great are there any universal dash mounts that will hold the Photon in the defender case??

The defender is amazing! I'm glad you are liking it. I haven't been able to find a dash mount that will hold the phone while it's in the case, but I am hoping there is one out there somewhere!

You may have to try various forums or even ebay/craigslist, but if you can find an EVO Defender case, it works perfectly. Then you just have to find a way to mount it to your dash. For me, since I didn't care about the clip (not using it as a true clip), I drilled a hole through the clip and mounted it to my old universal mount that way. Or, if you have come place you can actually clip it to your dash...

You can't beat Otterox defender Series cases. And if nothing else their customer service is tops. And nowadays you can't beat that. I will never use another brand case on any phone. And in fact if they don't make a case for a particular phone, I will get another phone. I use a piece of 3M Dual Lock Velcro on my case and dash. It is indestructible velcro. Not that cloth crap. It is made from Hard plastic,. but that is temporary. I am modifying the clip to accept the common slide type cellphone/gps holder base that clips to the HVAC vents for ease of movement. But for now the Dual Lock serves my purpose.
