Connecting to Fios with Galaxy S4

I dont know that im in the correct forum but here goes....
I am a current subscriber to sprint with my s4, and verizon fios for my cable/home internet. while im on my home wifi network i can connect to my set top box remotely and watch tv on my phone. while on 3g/4g or on an outside wifi network i cannot... it says i must be on home network. my question is, is it possible to somehow make my home network think im on my network from an outside network i.e. vpn, wan, remote desktop or something so my verizon mobile app will still work and i can watch my home tv from away from home...and how would i do this if possible...thanks in advance~!!

I guess you should make sure you have the latest version of the Verizon Fios app:

Try uninstalling it first, then reinstalling if you already have it.
