Samsung voice command

When I 1st got the phone in October I was impressed with how sensitive the voice command was. it would wake up in the lock screen. Now it doesn't... And when I try to use it, she says has a problem connecting to the server. And that is when I am home on wifi. if I am driving using just data she takes so long just to understand what I am saying that I just do it all by hand. I assume that is sprints bad reception but why doesn't she connect to servers anymore?
