Re: [UPDATE] Gingerbread for Motorola XPRT
When u say "everything has to be stock", does that also mean i cannot be rooted?
And hows this working for everyone? Any bugs or problems?? - 07-13-2012, 07:55 AM #6
Also i have custom boot animations. Will that be an issue? Or do u just mean stock recovery and rom?

Re: [UPDATE] Gingerbread for Motorola XPRT
This is amazing, many problems i had were fixed. The stock camera and camcorder apps werent working before the update, camera wouldnt save pics and camcorder would crash. Youtube videos wouldnt play unless i hanged the quality while they were loading and now i can play both qualities without changing to even start the video.

Re: [UPDATE] Gingerbread for Motorola XPRT
if mobile has a problem not being able to boot even it was Factory-reset.. do you think this update will help?
I deleted by mistake the Framware.jar file from the internal memory , and my mobile froze after that, and I had to reboot, factory reset.,, and failed to have it working again..
I tried many update.zip files but all of them failed because of a (file signature) problem..
Can you please help me? - 07-26-2012, 02:34 PM #17
Have u tried re-flashing the original stock rom?

Re: [UPDATE] Gingerbread for Motorola XPRT
Ha it worked for me. It is running so much better. Layout is somewhat the same, but a little sleeker. And why in the world would anyone downgrade to froyo. Im staying with GB. Just wishing there are custom roms for the xprt. that would be so dope.

Re: [UPDATE] Gingerbread for Motorola XPRT
Hi Thanks for the Update, now my XPRT is running on GB and the interface is sleek.
at first when i applied the update.zip from the stock recovery.
it dint apply and resulted in error msg, when i tried rebooting phone after the failed update, the "connecting network" looping screen would show.
it was due to my phone was rooted.
so it is important to have the xprt in stock factory settings
also can have CWM recovery (optional)
i installed the stock rom for my motorola XPRT (Sprint)
notice that it ll work only for Sprint
I downloaded the sbf from here and followed the steps.. Many Thanks to the guys for it.
really , urgently need your help .. XPRT owners
(it is important to have all motorola drivers installed in ur pc b4 doing this)
After installing the default stock ROM,
u can proceed with the same steps as in first post .. it works like a charm
the update.zip installs using the Stock recovery of the ROM
*It is awesome, Finally that irritating Sprint Network search no longer comes when starting
the phone.
*The GPRS is now working fine, it is not disconnecting frequently as before.
*All default Apps working fine
*Interface is smooth and slick
*Auto Rotate is pretty cool.
*only the thing is Sprint apps are still there, but they are tamed.
However they can be removed by rooting the phone and with titanium backup.
glad to help ya all. - 08-07-2012, 06:01 AM #24
Re: [UPDATE] Gingerbread for Motorola XPRT
Okay I can't figure out how to do this. I followed the directions and I'm trying to install it but it says that it can't install because "such a directory does not exist". Any help? I even unrooted my phone.
Edit: I got the stock rom, but how do I install it?
Edit2: Okay turns out I had to move the update to the root of the sd card. But I'm still getting an error when it starts to install. Will I have to do a factory reset to get it to work?Last edited by Tzuba; 08-07-2012 at 07:04 AM.
