I might just buy this brand new from Sprint..heck for $399 its not bad, even with time my Nexus S will sell on Craigslist regardless... but I wonder if I buy it from Sprint..can i get new insurance on it? HHmmm... i just wished Cyanogen would give this bad boy some love!

I am pretty sure you can get insurance on it, heck, I think when you add the phone in place of the other, the insurance just transfer over automatically.

Try the phone, no like, take back. So far I like

This phone is even better than I thought and Gingerbread isn't out yet! Motorola blur...not sure what everyone was mad about. This thing is excellent. Can be a little jerky on scrolling, though...

Phone is great but I believe the bootloader is locked hence no custom roms or cyanogen

every body talks about this boot loader being locked and all. ok the phone is locked but in all honesty i like the way it is. i don't need it to be custom. if your into rooting your devices then fine go root take a risk of bricking your device, mess with it. all i know is this phone is awesome as is and its getting gingerbread eventually and it will be even more awesome then.

I wouldnt sell the Nexus for this phone unless you really need a keyboard. And if that is the case I would get the Epic. You will kick yourself if you give up your Nexus S.

Some people may regret switching from a device like the Nexus or Epic, I myself have not regretted it. I actually feel I have the better phone. As I have mentioned before, Samsung makes great hardware but their Android OS implementation is a little lacking.

There Exchange support was horrible as the standard email as well. The cool thing is that now I have a phone that most will not have due to being swayed by the "cooler" devices. The device is able to play the games I like, just like the Epic did, bencmark scores were higher actually as well.

The screen an be clearly seen with the brightness at its highest, maybe even better than the Epic I had in direct sunlight. On the Epic, I had to turn up the brightness as well but that would chew on the battery over the long run. The XPRT phone is the longer lasting of the two.

Yes, there are some cavets such as the screen, higher quality video recording, etc but by no means is the XPRT a slouch on those areas. When I went in to test out the Nexus 4G as I wanted to see if maybe that would be my phone of choice, I walked out of there with my XPRT.

Expandable SD ability, LED notification, Candy bar style with keyboard, long battery life, working radio with no wi-fi issues, etc. It is no secret that the Nexus 4G is not the phone that it could have been. There are already phones that trump it in performance. The original Nexus One is still a phone that most would say was the best as far as dev/pure Android.

But yea, if you want a Samsung anyway, skip the Nexus 4G and get the Epic at least, that phone was a great device and with less issues, heck just wait for the Motorola Photon or EVO 3D instead, you could wait for the Samsung Within but I think I am through with Samsung, I know everyone has their issues but Samsung really drops the ball on OS upgrades, just read around the forums, there are devices that area already getting the Gingerbread that you think would be last.

Only the Nexus 4G would be great for the OS thing but the issues are enough to sway me away. Good luck to all on their device choice, for now the XPRT will be mine, but as a fan of good technology, who knows what I will choose next, I am still within the 30 days but do not see anything that will grab me and make me switch, the EVO 3D is the only device coming out within my time frame. That will be a pass for me.

It does have its issues too though, figured I would post this for others who may be thinking about the phone.

I have had the phone reboot once so far on its own, that could be software related but need to see if it will be a common occurance. So far it has just happened once, the first one I had did it more often, I returned it as I had dropped it and thought maybe it had been damaged.

I am a phone addict so who knows what I will end up with down the road, so far I have had Iphone 3G, Captivate, Epic, and now the XPRT all within a year or two

We will see what happens.

Mine has done this too. Probably ~3 times in the week I've had it. Most of the time I was typing text in and it just rebooted....

On my first Xprt it had restarted on me on average 1 or 2 times a day for no reason. and it would freeze up on my also when i would slide to unlock phone when i was getting texts. my new xprt has not giving me any restarting or text freezing slide to unlock problems at all. BUT it has froze on me a few times but that was user error. So far im very happy.

I'm really digging the XPRT. I went from a Palm 755> BB 8330> HTC Hero> HTC Evo. As much as I like my EVO, we don't get 4G here and I really like the keyboard setup. I will say that the keyboard is the one thing I miss from my 755 and 8330. I have been trolling craigslist for an XPRT but not found any yet.

I would have bought a XPRT for as cheap a price as my refurbished Samsung Transform. Bought it for 117 dollars and it's like new! I still have my Treo 755 and a custom colored Treo 700p (bright red, very rare, never been used so it's like new). The XPRT is the exact same phone as the Droid Pro that Verizon has! Droids rule the roost! They put Verizon on the map! I want one if I don't go 4G!

The Xprt is so different from the others that you really can't match it's specs in the Phone Comparison.

That's why I didn't include the Xprt, Conquor, or Replenish in the Comparison.

Keep in mind that because the XPRT is a business-oriented smartphone, it has a less intrussive version of Blur than more consumer-oriented Motos..
