Slow 3g?
with all the upgrades they said they did recently in my area. half of them says it will increase the speed, and other said it will increase capacity.
In fact it is the opposite. My 3g is just getting slower and slower. right now im getting 0.11 Mbps down.
I know my phone isnt fast for that, like on wifi. on my pc same wifi connection i get 18-20 mbps, on my phone i only get 3 mbps - 02-16-2012, 02:54 AM #2

Re: Slow 3g?
Make sure you test it again later. For most, our phones are already upto date. What this does is kind of reprovision the data on your phone. Which can cause you to switch to another carrier on the tower your connecting to.
But after a little bit your speeds will be right back down to where they were.Welcome to the Sprint Dial up Network!

Re: Slow 3g?
Here in NY the speeds are terrible as of late. I can't even watch a YouTube video on my phone anymore.

Re: Slow 3g?
It's not just this time of year. I've been using the HTC Hero since launch and the only phone that caught my eye was the EVO 4G but it wasnt much of an upgrade to me. Most of the phones since then have been a disappointment.
BTW the best I can get is 265kbps down and 110kbps up in my area, used to be around 1Mbps. - 02-28-2012, 01:39 PM
