with all the upgrades they said they did recently in my area. half of them says it will increase the speed, and other said it will increase capacity.

In fact it is the opposite. My 3g is just getting slower and slower. right now im getting 0.11 Mbps down.

I know my phone isnt fast for that, like on wifi. on my pc same wifi connection i get 18-20 mbps, on my phone i only get 3 mbps

I don't k.ow about you but in my area they upgraded a lot and my speed has gone from 0.11 megs to between 0.50 and 1.05 meg downlowd so they are upgrading

Make sure you test it again later. For most, our phones are already upto date. What this does is kind of reprovision the data on your phone. Which can cause you to switch to another carrier on the tower your connecting to.

But after a little bit your speeds will be right back down to where they were.

This is getting out of hand.

Yup I noticed Sprint has definitely been getting slower in my area. Couple that with the lack of new phones and i'm about to drop them for a new carrier. Been with them for 7 years too.

Every year around this time, it is always the lack of new phones. 2nd half of the year when most of new phones come out for sprint

Here in NY the speeds are terrible as of late. I can't even watch a YouTube video on my phone anymore.

speeds are anemic in my parts.

i turn mobile data off now.

no point in wasting my battery life in between wifi spots.

It's not just this time of year. I've been using the HTC Hero since launch and the only phone that caught my eye was the EVO 4G but it wasnt much of an upgrade to me. Most of the phones since then have been a disappointment.

BTW the best I can get is 265kbps down and 110kbps up in my area, used to be around 1Mbps.

That sux. Hopefully they will have a good phone i will like by October, that is when i can upgrade. That or make a decision to switch carriers, contract ends in feb 2013. All depends on if/when Sprint gets LTE in my area.
