Re: TN: Memphis, TN 4G LTE Official Thread
I called Sprint - Germantown near Collierville is a HUGE problem. There is a 3G tower on East Holmes Road that has been facing Capacity issues since September 7th. As a result, your phone can show near full bars and inbound texts/calls may not go through, or outbound calls you make will go to voicemaill or ring but the other party may not receive it - same for texts.
As a result, I got a 20$ credit on my account, as I do alot of business and personal stuff near that tower. They say that we'll be getting LTE soon but we'll see about that.. - 10-25-2012, 04:19 PM #28

Re: TN: Memphis, TN 4G LTE Official Thread
I used to live over in the Shelby drive/hacks cross area. The 3G absolutely sucks over there. I hope it gets the proper LTE attention it deserves.
By the way, is anybody else getting LTE signals other than from the Bartlett/Cordova/Germantown area? Anything from downtown? If so, please map on sensorly so we'll know.

I did see a little spot on the airport. So looks like someone was getting LTE there.

Here is a screen shot of a speed test done at Popeye's on Hacks Cross south of 385. Download speed is fairly decent, but not the upload.

Re: TN: Memphis, TN 4G LTE Official Thread
Ive gotten LTE at the airport , on the backside near the post office off Shelby Drive.. I was delivering to Gate Gourmet and had 2-3 bar signal.. Think the speeds were in the range of 10 down 3 up ..
And yes ATT and Verizion have it rolled out in Memphis , but atleast Sprint is working on it.. It isnt even rolled out here yet so I guess having some is better then none. - 11-06-2012, 05:27 AM

Re: TN: Memphis, TN 4G LTE Official Thread
Can anyone tell me about U of M area, specifically Normal Station neighborhood (spottswood & goodman) / highland, park & getwell area? Or everyone's favorite 'hood Hillshire or Whitten Rd Exit area? (My brother-n-law is thinking about Sprint in that area) Ive been using my TP3 for 3yrs waiting on strong 4g or LTE; now I'm wanting the S3 since its $0.99 (BlkFri price match from SamsClub) I'm waiting for the day I can tether my tablet & laptop off Sprint's network, see how much I can use before they say or do something. These posted LTE phone speeds are better than my avg comcast connect.... Maybe because I'm still using a 54g router lol
Big thanks for the informative posts, I appreciate it & am bookmarking this thread - 11-25-2012, 05:40 PM #49
