4G LTE finally in some parts of Jacksonville, FL.
I just wanted everyone on Sprint in Jacksonville, FL to know that i'm actually getting 4G LTE signals in some parts of the city. On my iPhone I was actually getting 12MB download and 6MB upload speeds. But on my GSIII i was only getting 6MB down and 6MB up. This is very good new to anyone that has been suffering with Sprint slow data speeds! I'm sure Jacksonville will be listed on the next roll out.

Re: 4G LTE finally in some parts of Jacksonville, FL.
Sprint will catch up their build out is a lot more complicated than att and vzw. They are not just attaching new panels like the big two. They are replacing everything at the cell site except the pole. So it takes Sprint longer to upgrade each site. Also sprint is upgrading every single site that they operate nationwide. Att and vzw are not due to the frequency they operate their LTE in. So please be patient.

Re: 4G LTE finally in some parts of Jacksonville, FL.
I checked the Sprint LTE Sensory Map and drive through the west 295 section daily. I'm not getting 4g.

Can anyone confirm it is on all the time or was it just up for testing and back down again.
Edit: Seeing 4G on a regular basis as I pass the area now after JB upgrade. Looking forward to the build out.Last edited by ginglish; 12-17-2012 at 10:15 AM. Reason: Additional Info

I picked LTE on my iPhone yesterday and was quite surprised. I was on 295 leaving blanding blvd and the signal stretched to 103rd street exit.

Re: 4G LTE finally in some parts of Jacksonville, FL.
I had the note 2 and it was faster on 3g than the iPhone so I'm guessing it might be faster on late as well. I got rid of it because the keyboard has issues and it was overall too big.

Re: 4G LTE finally in some parts of Jacksonville, FL.
I have had amazing 4g lte on Timuquana Rd . By the mas jax base and spotty by 103rd and 295. I wish the roll out would hurry up and be completed. I was told in November that by the first of 2013 it would be done 100%. Well we are 3 months into the new year and it's not done. I'm a little upset that even metroPCS has it and not sprint.

But believe me when I say metro lte coverage fails in comparison to sprints in speed and coverage (not t-metro).
