I am talking on the phone with someone. My phone will switch to 4G.. as soon as I hang up, a few seconds later, it goes back to 3G - WHY WHY WHY? Is my phone broken?

Try powering off the phone and pull it's battery. If that fails then reformat the phone. That's what I would do!

Could have just got that weak signal to switch. If LTE is not announced in your area it's going to be spotty... Where do you live?
