I got a spot of lte. The speed was definitely not anything to write home about But the fact that it's being tested right now is exciting.

Once lte is established in more places or once it's announced will support ramp up the speed? Because everywhere I've gone that has the lte around town (near Robinson had the most) max I've seen is 4mbps. My wimax phone is getting more than that.

Yes. I am in Jacksonville and we aren't launched.. When LTE first started popping up I was getting about 2Mbit down and could never get higher. It's been avaliable (unofficially) for about 3 months now and here are tests all around Jacksonville.

I got a blip in Dormont. I heard that neville island already has it too in another thread. I guess those towers in cranberry and neville aren't an okie doke.

Btw once we have it, it will give us great speeds. I was getting 30 up and 30 down when testing a Note 2 in st myers a few weeks ago.

But I do regret that the 4g lte signal wasn't that strong. So you still get 3g in your house

maybe its still being rolled out there too though.

One thing thats weird though, you guys should have the 4g icon. When I had some LTE in florida it said 4g on it. Maybe its still too weak or bouncing around too much.
Also is anyones sprint connection optimizer running/notifying them of the lte?

Just to confirm.. last night I was at TGI fridays in robinson and my 4G icon lit up. I was getting about 5000 down and 6000 up.

It was pretty weak at times with a high ping rate.. but its only gonna get better from here

The long wait is over. lol

When I take the tests I do have the 4g symbol. But usually moving and by the time I get to send the signal I'm back to ehrpd or evdo rev.a

Been wondering the same thing, as I've recently found that you can get it near the Costco in Robinson Township. Also noticed that I picked up 4G for a minute on my T ride home through Beechview the other day. It was right around where Davio Italian Restaurant is located. So it looks like it is being tested in some areas around town. Hopefully it will be lit up everywhere soon!

There's a small area with low speeds in Greentree, and just today I lit up with 30m/10m in Crafton.

I spoke with a sprint CS rep yesterday and they said lte is not available as of yet in Pittsburgh. Rep did say they have Wimax 4 G for the older phones ie OG evo and that was all the info they could give me as no news when lte will be available.I said I was told 6 months ago we would have lte buy end of year 2013

Verizon Wireless has had 4G LTE for nearly 3 years

AT&T has also had lte for a few years.sprint has said by end of 2013 for Allegheny county.Philly Ohio, Maryland just received lte on sprint early this year.
