Default I got 4G service in my area!

Woohoo! This is my first post informing my fellow Epic 4G people that we got 4G coverage in Los Angeles & New York now. It says I'm connected to 4G in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is a big place.. Where exactly in L.A. do you have 4G?

I've connected to 4g in Downtown LA. Haven't tried it anywhere else yet.

I would change your title to 4g in LA as it is misleading although there are more than a handful of posts in the forums regarding 4g here in LA. Downtown, Santa Monica, Calabasas and Glendale are all test sites where you'll get a signal. They are not 100% up as they are 'test' sites but it is running and it works amazingly.

Have fun in the 4g playground!

I get a signal near my house (next to LAX) and near downtown. It's a bit spotty though.

I've been getting 4G since close to launch and have gotten speeds around 8mb/s down.

Forgot to mention that I am in Anaheim CA. A guy at a Sprint store near here said he got 11 mb/s down. I had no 4g service at the gf's in Marina Del Rey however. As a comparison, I get around 23 mb/s down when on my wifi connection.

11 mb/s?! That's insane! Yeah, down here in the Marina, it's pretty spotty. Luckily, we're only 3 months away from county-wide launch (I THINK it's county, but not sure).

Well thats what he *said*. And my own 8 mb/s claim was achieved once and rounded up from about 7.7. Still pretty good I think!
