Default Pay the ETF feel and switch? Or switch?

I'm eligible for phone upgrade may 1st. My wife's iPhone 5 is upgradeable now. Our contracts are up Sept. 27 and Dec. 27.

Should I pay the $100 and $160 ETF fees to get away from sprint (after 16 years) and go to Verizon or AT&T?

We currently pay $144 a month for 2 phones, sharing 1500 min. And unlimited.

Am I getting robbed by sprint?

Goto T-Mobile and let them pay your ETF and take a no-contract plan and feel the freedom.

I pay $110/monthly for 2 lines unlimited talk/text with unlimted+5gb hotspot on 1 line and the other has the free 1gb high speed with unlimited 3G after that.

How much data do you use?

not much , wifi 95% of the time.
I figure, if I pay my $100 etf fee from sprint, I could get a new phone with Verizon for around $150-$180, so that's about $250+ to cancel before sept. with sprint. ( unless Verizon would pay my etf to switch !) or if I stay with sprint, it will cost me around $200 to get a new HTC m8 and 2 more crappy years with sprint.
im thinking pay the extra $50-$80 and join Verizon. Verizon had a 1 gig plan that's about $80 , im paying $144 for 2 lines shared with sprint.

Sprint said I can save $20 a month by switching plans to unlimited calls/texts /etc and 1 gig per phone data for $130 a month. For 2 phones.

Verizon is around $160 I believe.

Switching to Verizon will cost me around $500 after ETF fees and new phones.

Staying put with sprint will cost me $150-$200 for a new phone., but be about $30 a month cheaper.

So it might be cost effective to stay with sprint. I use less than a half gig a month data.... So unlimited data isn't big deal.

If you have Spark in your area, the new Spark phones will make an immense difference in service with Sprint. Stronger signal, better in door signal, and a lot faster speeds....not to mention its cheaper than any other provider. If you don't have Spark and are willing to pay more monthly, take the plunge and make the switch. Good luck :-)

Just spent an hour online with Verizon site. They have a single line plan for $60 with unlimited voice/texts/etc and 1 gb data. Cheapest sprint plan, exact same deal is $70.

If you use light data I'd go to that Verizon plan imo.

Even if spark is available, the network still suck. I was in an area with supposedly spark, was able to get 35 mbps one day then haven't been able to repeat since then, getting .03 to 1.5. I am planning my escape from Sprint.

He stated he uses less than half a GB now so.. 1 will be fine for him. He has wifi a lot of places .

I agree with you Twitch as I need / want unlimited but some don't need it. If I had good wifi at work I could easily survive on 2-3 GB of data.
