Whittier is off the 605 fwy or 5 fwy, border line of La Habra, Buena Park and Pico Rivera or Santa Fe Springs depending on what part of Whittier your at.

I noticed a couple weeks ago here in downey and it made me wanna try out vaelpak to use the 4Gs

I have 4G in Anaheim Hills.

Area's I know that have it in LA because I've gotten 4G is, some parts of Hollywood, some parts of downtown LA, East LA, Montebello, Monterey Park, Alhambra, small parts of Rosemead, small area in Whittier but out of all of them, Montebello has been the strongest signal and good battery life.
