If Sprint dumps WiMax for LTE, what do you think they will do to users?
We've seen a lot of reports saying that Sprint will be switching to LTE, probably because Clear has deployed WiMax to any new cities lately.
If they do, what do you think they will offer to current WiMax users? I have an Evo 4G, and definitely don't want to be left behind in the switch. - 04-02-2011, 06:49 PM #2
Any switch will take quite awhile to complete. I doubt they'll shut down wimax for at least two years. In fact, my guess is that at some point they'll announce a switch, then wait at least two years before actually shutting down, sonce they do two year contracts. Think about the switch from analog to digital phones, hardly anyone was forced to sell their analog phone because the analog network was shutting down. Trust me, you will want to replace your EVO intwoyears, no matter how much you love it now!
