Is the a download speed cap on handsets

I am thinking there may be a 4G speed cap on handsets?

The EVO that I have when I am connected to 4G I only see about 1-2mb download when I use a 4G hotpsot I see about 5-7mb download.

Why would this be?

3G is the same way on EVO 500-600 download hotspot 1-1.5


Any help would be thankful thanks.

By 4G hotspots I assume you mean like a MiFi. The hotspot/MiFi has a bigger antenna and uses more juice looking for and maintaining a 4G signal.

Nope I get around 7MB with my EVO
