Default Best Buy did not have the Atrix 2

Bummer! I looked at the Atrix 2 in the AT&T store and then went to Best Buy to get it and they did not have it in the store or in their computer system. I wanted to get it there off contract because I have a gift card.

The phone looks pretty nice in the few minutes I played with it in the store. Anyone pick it up today?

OP of this thread. Just picked up the Atrix 2 at Best Buy after a week long out of town meeting (ugh).

Best Buy did match the ATT non contract price of 449.99. They just called a nearby store to verify the price and availability. It is charging now and I will set it up later!

You do know that Best Buy prices their off-contract phones at least $150 more than in a corporate store, right?

They will match the 450 from AT&T.

Do you have confirmation of that with the store (including the manager that would have to approve it in the register)? Best buy's corporate policy is to not match the full retail price on phones.

Unless this is a new policy, it is simply not true. Best Buy has matched ATT for me on several occasions where I purchased at full retail.

Usually they won't match full retail prices. You just happened to get a manager that was easy.

The sales rep said they would match it and they do all the time. Once they have the phone, we will see.

Except I have done it at three different stores on no less than 5 different occasions. Maybe you just ran into someone who didnt know what they were taking about.

Went to two different Best Buys in the Central Virginia area. Website indicated Atrix 2 was in stock, however neither of them had the phone on display. I had to ask...and they magically appeared from a locked cabinet at the two year contract price of $49.99.
