Why No Fingerprint Scanner?
Did Motorola ever give a reason why they didn't add the fingerprint scanner on to the new Atrix 2? This is probably my favorite figure on my Atrix. I don"t see why it didn't catch on.

Well the most obvious reason would be price. Also have heard some complaints about the power button not working well, and no one really using the scanner, so you solve several problems by removing it. Makes the phone look sleeker as well.

What a shame. Its a great figure. Hope they improve it and release a phone with it again. I would get it just for it.

The Atrix 3 is rumored to have a front facing camera that doubles as a retina scanner.

it's because ICS will have face unlock, people would rather have that, than fingerprint
