speaker trouble

I have a problem with my external speaker not working every once in a while. I miss calls and cant listen to speaker phone. Any help solving this would be great, thanks!
My headphone jack works though so this is why I raise the question

Ran into similar issue once. Had used the fm stereo and unplugged the headphones before turning off music. Had to plug back in and shut down music app properly

I have seen issues (on other phones) with the headphone jack thinking the headphones were still plugged in. Take your headphones and plug them in again and remove them. That might do the trick.
