The family and I are planning a trip to see Mickey at the beginning of November. I drive truck in the US and I have a Verizon Droid X so I will be able to use it as I usually do. However, my wife has a Bell Atrix and I don't want to get nailed with the ridiculous roaming charges Bell saddles us with.

I want to get a prepaid sim for the Atrix so my wife can use the phone all she wants while we are in Florida. Is it as easy as popping in a sim card, or do I have to unlock her phone? I did a little searching around but I'm still a bit confused as to the process.

Yes you will need to get it unlocked. tons of places online to do it, shouldn't pay more than $20 to do it.
