    Default cannot shutdown

I can't seem to shutdown my Atrix when its micro-usb is connected, it just reboots.

If I shut it down disconnected and then plugin the USB, it immediately starts up.

    So I can't do a 'cold charge.

Isn't it supposed to do this?
The phone will shutdown if connected and you shut it down, and it reboots to a charging screen (not completely on). Wait a few minutes to see the big green battery screen.

    What's a 'cold charge?

No, it seems to completely reboot to full functionality. I'll try again and see if i'm mistaken.

"cold charge" is when the device is essentially off but the battery is charging, i.e. nothing is running.

Ah, that makes sense. Let us know what happens.
I just powered mine off while it was plugged in. The green LED lights up after a second or two, and then the dual core red "M" logo, followed by a big green battery screen which shows it is charging. Then, after awhile, the screen went black (I'm at full charge, not sure if that's why), and the green LED just stays lit the whole time.

Just checked this on my phone, it does reboot to full functionality. I am going to check to see if USB Debugging is on/off, to see if that makes a difference.

OK Shutdown with both USB Debugging On and Off, while connected to PC with USB. Both times it shutdown and then restarted.

Oh, I'm sorry, I was only connected to the wall charging (using the USB cable), not my PC. I have to leave right now to take my little sister to a physical therapist appt, but when I return I'll see if it reboots to full functionality when connected to my PC, not the wall outlet.
