Notification Tones for Text Messages.
Hello World.
Recent Crackberry convert here. (ducks the flaming arrows and spears)
I'm still learning my way around the Android OS. I have an Atrix 4G running 2.3.4, and I've been trying to get some personalizations done...I had no problem figuring out how to assign a custom ringtone for certain contacts...what I'm trying to do now is set custom notifications for text messages depending on who they come from and I can't seem to find a way to do it. So 1) Can this be done? and 2) if so how? Thanks for the help. - 12-18-2011, 10:53 AM #2
Well you can use Go SMS which allows you to do that for txt messages. I am not sure how to so it for the stock SMS program as I have not used it since one week after getting my Atrix 4G.

One has to look no father than the pathetic and slow update process of ICS on all the manufactures and carriers. Go SMS is really customizable and free. I'm becoming a big Go convert after hearing about it on All About Android.
