I dropped my Motorola Atrix 4G tonight and all seemed to be working fine. However, when I tried sending a text message it kept saying it couldn't be sent. I had service so I decided to reboot my phone to see if that would fix the issue. When the phone started to boot up it sat at the initial Motorola screen for a long time and then the following error appeared at the top:

"Modem did not power up (3)
Starting RSD protocol support"

The phone then sits there and does not change. I removed the battery to retry and the same error continues to appear.

I'm VERY noob when it comes to trying to troubleshoot these kinds of things. I searched the forums and didn't find the same error message so I created this thread.

If anybody has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

There a lot of threads on "MODEM" issues, but I don't believe I have seen a (3), just usually (0), although there are (2)'s as well.
I have no idea if any of these threads will contain anything useful to you, but you could try spending some time reading through these.
