Default New Poll: What will you buy now (with the confirmed prices)?

If I was getting this on Day One, I'd personally just grab the phone.
But more than likely, I'll be waiting at least a few weeks after release in the hopes that the pricing goes down so I can grab it cheaper with the docks.

I don't think I'll even bother with the Atrix now. I'm sure I could force myself to cope with the laptop dock price, but the extra tethering fee just royally p***ed me off.

+1. I was planning on finding the dock cheaper later on but with the tethering added on, that's not going to happen. I'm wondering if I should just go with the inspire now.

Charging that much for a "shell" is ridiculous, and you are essentially just using the phone with an attached keyboard/screen so the tethering fee is also absurd. I was going to stick with AT&T because of this phone, but now since I may be looking at a different device, I will be looking at phones coming out on all carriers.

I'm still sticking with the Atrix for the battery life. Sadly no other Android with a big screen can handle a full day away from a charger for me. I'll prolly pickup the multimedia and/or car dock depending on prices and hold out for the laptop dock to drop about $200+ dollars and not require the ridiculous tethering plan.

Guys, to be fair, they never stated that you HAVE to get tethering plan if you buy the dock separately, so hopefully that is the case because all you are buying is a "shell", so technically they can't force you to get a tethering plan with it, especially if you buy from Amazon or elsewhere -- just use wireless with it, which is what most people was going to do anyways.

And, the phone itself costs $199 with 2 year contract, so it's not THAT expensive and actually coincides with previous high end smartphone prices, even more so when compared to Verizon's upcoming $249 Thunderbolt.

Watching the video where the laptop dock was demo'd at CES, it showed that it stuttered a lot viewing video at full screen, so I can't even see wanting the laptop dock to view hulu or netflix. Just seems like a ridiculous waste of money.

Its not the price of the phone I have an issue with. I was going to get the Atrix because of the webtop feature. But having to buy the shell for $500, or $300 on contract with tethering is absolutely absurd and will drive me to another phone and possibly carrier/manufacturer.

i was ready to buy the laptop dock and the phone but not if i need a tethering plan id use it mostly on wifi just around my house anyways so i might pick up the atrix or the inspire 4g thats a huge bummer though

if i can buy the dock without tethering off contract then ill consider it.

I'm still getting the Atrix, but not through AT&T directly. Nor will I buy any accessories from AT&T, even if they were only available from them. I'm not happy with the announcement.

You can. For $500. May as well get a mid/upper-mid range laptop. Or a 40" TV for your bathroom. Or something worth it.

Presently, I'm still thinking of buying the phone, but not quite as sold now. I never intended to buy the laptop dock. I only wanted a multimedia dock. I don't want the wireless keyboard or mouse. I don't see a price for the multimedia dock alone.

Clearly, they are saying if you buy the laptop dock, you'll have to buy a tethering plan. Further down there's a line that says

"3. Laptop Dock - Firefox browser use with AT&T Mobile Broadband requires Tethering Plan."

It's not clear to me whether they will force tethering prices if I run Webtop on the multimedia dock. If so, it's not worth it for me to buy the multimedia dock and I'll seriously consider another phone.

Im actually in a crazy situation, recently I was left with no phone for 3 weeks trying to decide if I wanted to go with the Evo or wait. I end up ordering the Evo. I get the phone today and amazon wireless tells me that I have to ship it back and all this other nonsense about me not getting the phone until monday because of an ESN mistake. So should I just not go with sprint and order the Atrix now that its price are confirmed?

If I still get anything having to do with the Atrix, it will be the phone by itself. I will not buy anything else for this phone from AT&T. They don't deserve it.

+1 Att's marketing of this is atrocious, they choked mid-swing instead of hitting the ball out of the park. They would have had a winning item if the atrix and laptop-dock could have been purchased $350 total, they blew it.

Screw that. It should've been priced at $250 total and no tethering. Ok, $300 tops. We're not talking about a phone and netbook. A phone and a screen and keyboard is all we're saying. I'm sure I can buy an 11" LCD screen for less than $100. Keyboards are dirt cheap. Tethering is just a scam anyway...like text messaging charges. Especially when they cap your data. You should be able to use your data however you see fit. Unlimited is a little different, but not by much.

I think I originally voted "just atrix", but I'm starting to lean toward the inspire. I'll have actually hold and play with it before I decide. If not the Inspire...well, I can't say what my 3rd option is...at least not on an Android forum

+1.. sort of. I did vote Atrix only... but honestly I'm really thinking I'll pickup an Inspire and see if the battery can last a day. If it does, I'll make the call once I see the Atrix in stores and if I'm not totally sucked in by Sense.... well...

+2. I'm gonna mess around with the Inspire when it gets to my local store and see how I like it.

Why do none of these polls include the car dock?! I will be getting the car dock and the charging dock at first. The phone is still awesome...but AT&T is crazy if they think people are going to jump at the chance to pay such high prices to have the laptop dock.

I hope AT&T sees this poll - very few are interested in their high priced docks. This pricing scam is going to be a major fail for them.
