    Default Any BB converts?

Thinking of picking up the Atrix tomarrow and give up my BB Bold 9000.
I am worried about giving up my great keyboard. Any one make the switch to the virtual keyboard and happy about it?

LOL, I have the Bold 9000 and I am literally ready to toss it into traffic. It's time to let the physical keyboard go... the Android won't be as good for typing or email, but it will dominate in every other aspect.

    128 MB for apps?!

My trackball doesn't move so easily anymore and my audio jack is broken.

If you must keep the keyboard and BES support, go with a Torch. Otherwise, if you're like me and ready to have some fun with your phone for once, get the Atrix.

I was counting down the days for my contract to expire in January and I almost switched to Verizon for the Thunderbolt. Glad I didn't...

I'm itching to move from my BB 9000 to the Atrix, but I'll have to wait for the phone to become available and unlocked as I'm in Canada. May be within a couple of weeks...

I just turned off my Bold 9000 today when my Atrix arrived. Am I slower at typing? Yeah, for now. I suspect that with time, I'll grow to be pretty fast on the virtual keyboard - It just takes some getting used to.

I cannot wait to dump my BB Curve 8900. I will hopefully be picking up the atrix sometime this week. I want to get my hands on one first before I buy it. I would just assume that atrix and android will blow away BB in almost every aspect with the keyboard being the only slight exception.

    Default [Official] Blackberry Convert Thread

There is a good bet that many of you new Atrix users are coming from Blackberry. This thread is a great place for new Android users coming from BB to ask those of us who have already taken that journey any questions or tips to help you along the way.

Also, would recommend all Blackberry converts check out this article

    Welcome to Android, and enjoy!

I'm coming from a 9700, got the Inspire last week and i love the android os but I'm having some exchange email issues. I asked in an earlier thread about getting html email in the native client, anyone tried this yet? I was also worried about going from a physical keyboard to a touchscreen but with all the voice commands available it's really not an issue. Also can motoblur skin the homepage to look like my old today screen on bberry with email notifications, calendar entries and missed calls? On the Inspire this is not really possible with sense ui?

Ok, well i started a separate thread asking these two same questions, but I'll ask them here since they haven't been answered:

    1) How do i setup an exchange email on the phone?

    2) How do I view my different email accounts when I click on the email icon. I can only see the emails from one account. I've been search all over and I can't find the emails from the other account. I know I set it up right though because I've been getting email notifications from both accounts.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Blackberry convert here (starting tomorrow anyways). Would love to hear what some would consider the must-have apps when making the switch. Also , it would be really great if ppl could share their organization techniques for the multiple desktop screens (esp with Motoblur involved). Thanks!

Switching tomorrow when I pick one up before heading to class.
Any recommendations for a replacement for the extremely popular Blackberry app called "BerryBuzz", which allows for tons of different LED color notifications and controlling how long or strong a vibration lasts, etc?

First day after countless BB's ... most recently the 9700 and the Torch. It's a little early to tell, but my first impression is that it's like going from black and white to color - speedy, intuitive, and very capable. Unlike my previous iphone experience I don't think I'll be trading back.

I switched over from a 9700. It will take a little getting used to with the touchscreen. Haven't used on full time in a couple of years.

I am a BB user of about 5 years looking to make the switch. The biggest hurdle I think for me is going to be not having direct sync to Microsoft Outlook unless I pay for a third party app. I do use Outlooks contacts, calendar and notes every day.

Does the Atrix, or Droid in general, have anything similar to the BB's Memo Pad? I keep all my cheat sheets for work on these.

Switched from a Bold 9000 yesterday. It's going to take getting used to no physical keyboard, but aside from that the only thing I miss is BBM.

I myself too was a hardcore BlackBerry user for 3 years. To this day, Ill still use a BB. I just needed a change and switched to Android when the HTC Aria was out, then the Captivate. Havent looked back since. Im more addicted to my phone now, then I was with the BlackBerry.

The Atrix is the first Android Phone I have owned that has an LED!! Thats what I MISSED with BlackBerry. I loved the Notifier via LED. Now, this phone has it. Its small, but its there.

And just 5 minutes ago I found an app in the market called BLINK. It allows you to change the color of the LED to your taste for SMS, MMS, Calls etc. Give it a shot!

EDIT: Also, Im still using Notifier_Contentment for my SMS/MMS Messages. I cant get ride of that sound. Its notorious! And Yes, you can add that to the phone to use for your SMS tone.

I tried to find that tone on the internet yesterday, as it's what I was using on my 9000.

Guess I'll just need to dig into the 9000 when I get home to strip it out.
