saving picture attatchment

How can I save a picture from an e mail.I tried but it wouldn't let me save the attatchment.

I'm pretty sure I've read it's just not possible on our phone within gmail. I checked out this same issue when I first got my Atrix(First Android). I wound up saving it on the computer and used my usb cable to send it over. Not what you want I know, but it works.

I have an option in Gmail to dowload or preview certain image files(jpg, png)...if I choose download then it would be saved in the download folder in on the sd card. Is the picture viewable in the email without clicking on the attachment button?

Oh I see....Arrg that's lame.....oh well not a big deal guess im just going to have to get used to it.

I emailed myself a .gif picture yesterday to my gmail account. When I open it it has 2 big grey buttons right under the pic for "Download" and "Preview." Does yours not have that?

Emailed myself today and downloaded the picture fine. It showed up in my gallery in a "download" folder.

I can preview and get info on it I havent tried after the update so Im gonna try again right now and see... *_*

Ok now I'm getting owned trying to do this. Only with an mp3 file. I made a ringtone then emailed it to my gmail and I can preview it but that's it. How did you get it to work??
