@sk8trix: There was a post on the Moto corporate forum that the update is being released in groups, by IMEI number. It may take a few days before you get yours. I haven't gotten mine, either.
I think some of these folks who are talking about the update have either gotten it because they were in the Moto beta test program, or they sideloaded it from elsewhere.Change is good! - 04-30-2011, 04:11 PM #8
My speeds increased significantly. I was never able to get higher than 2Mbps on download and my upload speeds prior to the update were near zero

I'm jealous...I've never tested my speed before but I recently did and it adter the 83 update it...and it DOES NOT even reach 1mb of upload or download. Both stay under... =/ I'm in Van Nuys...pretty much Los Angeles area...

The best i've got so far is dl 3.43mbps and 1.63 upl. With 128 ms ping.... well thats just in my appartment here in Brooklyn. I'll test more in Manhattan tomorrow... but it interesting though, sometimes it shows me 0.16 mbps upload and if i rerun test it comes up with 1.something....

I think you meant to address this post to me. Well i actually didn't receive the update.... I lost my patience especially after talking with ATT rep who said that I should get the update within next few days.... So I went on xda forums and manually flashed my device. But either way I apologize, I was wrong... I'm sorry...

Supposidly I violated the NDA at Motorola since I was told that by there forums manager. Im not sure what is was that I said compared to other people who are saying more things, or saying the same thing. But Im just not gonna say anythng anymore until its fully released.

The official update actually hasnt went out yet. So I think the speeds you guys are seeing is around the same because you dont have the update yet. Neither do I at this point. It shouldnt be lonk hopefully. Check your Settings>About Phone. And see what model number you have. From what I was told, it hasnt been released to the public yet.

I have Android version 2.2.2 System version 4.1.83 So it was not the official update yet? What was it then? It did boost my speed a bit... So does that mean ATT lying to us again by posting the official 1.4.83 update information on their site? Or it was another system patch but NOT the hsupa/hsdpa update?
Well there is no word anywhere on motorola atrix update page about 4.1.83 so that makes me think it is not the official one. (Not from motorola at all?) Im confused now... This is so wrong it should not be happening at all.... I've made a very serious mistake extending my contract with ATT... could have enjoyed verizon's LTE now LOLLast edited by Trevalkin; 05-02-2011 at 07:07 AM.

Is that what the version is showing on your phone? Did you sideload that or recieve that OTA as an update?

I sideloaded it from xda forum.. got tired of waiting and wqnted to experiment just like the old days with my bold 9700 LOL but isnt it the one that many people got OTA? It is the same version right?
Just did the speed test with speakeasy.net 4.83 up and 0.39 down. Interesting I definetely wasnt getting down speeds like that before but the up speed is the same LOLLast edited by Trevalkin; 05-02-2011 at 07:21 AM.
