launcher causing apps to auto start

Here is a question to all not sure if this is the reason why but it started happening after I installed it.

I got ADW Launcher from the market by AnderWeb
It runs so nice its beautiful but....
I have a task killer app that I have had since I got my phone in march.
I set up which apps the task killer would auto kill and its worked awsome killing the apps and keeping them from restarting this whole time.
Now I installed the launcher which also allows for landscape view in the home screen.
Now alot of those apps selected not to start all start up when im in lanscape mode.
I kill them w the appkiller and later (2minutes) they come back,is it the launcher that is causing this?
anyone know anything about this?
If so please chip in your two cents thanks.

EDIT* the apps that auto restar are facebook,youtube,and market, which happen to widgets I have on the homescreen it only happens when i go from portrait to landscape could this be because it originally doesnt go landscape on homescreen that causes the apps to auto restart and appear on my task killer? does this cause battery drain that would be noticable? just a speculation....
