Is there anyway to tell if the fugu root mod () has been installed properly?

I keep trying to install it, but it keeps booting into the fugu mod opening screen. When I reboot my phone, it tells me that it is not rooted, which leads me to believe, I am not waiting long enough for the root to take affect.

Yes and that's when I found it wasn't rooted...<used titanium backup with root to check>.

Thanks, but I decided to stick with 2.3.3..at least that's been working for me.
