    Default How to mount system to remove system files using Terminal Emulator?

    I am looking to remove stock system apps to free up memory via Terminal Emulator. I cant get it to mount though... can somebody give me the commands I need to use?

    Im trying..... mount -o rw,remount /system

    What you're trying to do (I think) is outlined in the link here:



    My opinion is that you shouldn't be removing stock apps to free memory; that seems like a recipe for disaster.

    Why don't you just buy an external SD card?

    Its actually for my HTC Aria and it doesnt have very much internal memory at all and is lagging...

    Oh, okay- but don't forget that as this is a Samsung Captivate forum, if you get a list of files to remove/rename, they may be wrong.

    I'd move or rename the files (off the internal storage, maybe to a PC), rather than delete, in case you mess something up.
