returning to rom help

I was running cognition 2.2 rom but had to go back to stock to do something and figured i would stay stock for awhile
But now im missing contacts and other info and the stock is really buggy sois there a way to return to my past cog rom
i was thinking if i flashed the rom again then used rom manager to go to my backup from the rom a few weeks ago, or would that not work?

Yes, flashing Cognition again and then restoring your Clockwork backup should put you exactly where you were a few weeks ago.

Unless your backup fails and your stuck in an endless loop and have to buy a download JIG.
