    Default unsigned roms, what do?

I'm struggling to get Voodoo LagFix installed according to the directions and I'm too scared and new to Android to play around with Odin 1.3 to do it. I have the update.zip file in the root of the internal SDCard (I:\) and it seems Android finds the update just fine but it complains the file is unsigned and therefore, it will not proceed. Is there a way around this? I've Google'd a hundred times and can't find anything on how to get around this, how to sign the file myself or how to disable the damn checking (aside from installing Voodoo which comes with a recovery console that disables checking).

Are you on 2.2 or 2.1? Stock recovery or clockwork?

I have 2.2 Stock Froyo right now - used Odin to flash to stock.

You can't use the stock 2.2 recovery without some modifications. Here's the method if you want to stay on 2.2 stock:
