Gingerbread not reading iTunes .m4a's

m4a files used to work great when I was on 2.2 Froyo. But after updating to Gingerbread, the phone still plays m4a's, but doesn't read the properties (i.e. title, artist, album, album art, etc.). I'm pretty sure this isn't a problem with my SD card because the phone can perfectly read my mp3's. I've tried using 3 music players, but none of them seem to read the properties of my m4a's. Is anyone else having this problem? When do you guys think there will be a fix?
