So I flashed back to JH2 Eclair using Odin3 1.7, and tried to install Clockworkmod Recovery. First of all, the three-button combo was broken, so I had to use adb commands on my computer to get to recovery mode. Whenever I try to install Clockworkmod, everything works and I even get to clockworkmod. But when I restart, I'm back with 2e recovery and have to flash Clockworkmod again, and it never actually gets installed. If there's a fix, that would be great. But if there isn't can I still install .zip packages while I'm temporarily in CWM?
I had the same issue when trying to flash with froyo. It would read the update.zip but not actually install clockwork mod. Follow the instructions on the cyanogen wiki. You need to flash a new kernel with heimdall. Works great in Linux.
