Captivate and Launcher Pro
Hey guys I received my Samsung Captivate today and am considering getting launcher pro. I wanted to see if anyone has had any problems with it and if not how has their experience with launcher pro been. This info is much appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.

Works great... Much better than stock TW launcher... I would highly recommended.
As a side note, it is worth it to me to pay for Launcher Pro Plus... You wont be disappointed. - 08-18-2010, 09:02 AM

No lag so far for me... Been running it just at 3 weeks now. It is also worth the switch to Launcher Pro because it allows you to hide applications from being shown (kinda like on a blackberry... you will be able to hide all the att crapware that you don't want to see listed in your applications. Easier than doing the ATT MOD to remove them all.)

I was just at the site and I realized that you have to download the apk for Launcher Pro and put it on your phone. How did you guys do that if the phone doesnt let you sideload?

Launcher Pro worked well for me the first week it was installed, then I started getting random force quits on average of once per day. The latest update seems to have fixed the issue as I haven't had any issues with it in the past 36 hours or so. If it remains stable I'll definitely get the paid version.

The Att Mod is actually quite easy and takes less then 15 minuets to root, enable non market apps and remove the bloatware! I am thinking of purchasing Launcher pro *just testing it out* I tried an older version that really did not work properly but the latest seems to be fine now!

I couldn't recommend launcher pro enough, and 2.99 for the plus version is a no-brainer, especially since the dev's said that will go up eventually. The included widgets are very useful and also scrollable, which is awesome for efficient use of homepage space. Being able to resize widgets (not all, just some) is also excellent.
I normally stick to only free apps, but I used it for less than a day before I decided to pay for the full version. - 08-20-2010, 09:30 AM #20
I agree 100%. I am loving the people and the bookmarks widget that came with the launcher pro plus app. They look good and save me some clicks when trying to call people or visit websites. They work just fine. And I here more are coming. It was well worth the upgrade to plus.
