When in the calendar app there is my calendar and your Google calendar. For whatever reason it defaults to my calendar even tho I don't have it displaying in the list.
My question is does "my calendar" sync with Google? Or am I going to have to manually choose my Google account for each event

I believe that you have to select your google account to sync with google. My Calendar does not sync.

On the stock calendar, every time you enter a new calendar event, it will default to "my calendar" which does not sync with google calendar. If you want your calendar entries to sync with your google calendar then you have to manually choose your google calendar for each event. It seems like a pain but you can get used to it. I've tried Jorte - which you can set to default sync with google - but I keep coming back to the stock calendar. It's a matter of what works best for you. There's also Gemini that some people have posted about (haven't tried that one).

I also hate this bug. HTC allows you to select a default calendar, why not Samsung? This better be fixed in the next update as I use my calendar a lot.

make sure you let Samsung know - the more complaints about certain features, the higher on the priority list they go.

Gemini doesn't let you select a default calendar, but you can deselect the My calendar internal one and then it will default to your Google account, the first calendar on your list I guess.
