Default Screen timeout keeps defaulting to 30 seconds?

Regardless of what interval I change my screen timeout to, it always defaults back to 30 seconds, and it's driving me up the wall. I see the other threads regarding screen timeouts resetting for other devices, but I haven't come across anyone mentioning it for the Captivate, and I haven't seen a solution for the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, were you able to remedy it?

This happened to me too but its stuck on 10 minutes instead of 30 seconds, its quite annoying. I changed it to a longer time to read a long email and copy some information down and now the screen stays lit for 10 minutes. Have you figured out how to change yours back?

Do you have you Captivate set to sync with an Exchange server that could be sending a policy to the phone?

I used to get this on my BJ2. The usual fix was to change it to something else, exit the config screen, then go back in and change it back.

Could it be a power profile that is tripping you up?

It doesnt matter which screen timeout setting i click, even though it says a different one is selected it still takes ten minutes. I disabled tasker and it is still not changing anything so i dont think i had a power profile stopping it. I just changed it to ten minutes that one time and now can't change it back

I had a problem also when I first got it. Went back and the guy did a battery pull which fixed it.
