If it's not available from the Market, the majority of users will not use it. I tried the Cognition ROM and was not that impressed over my stock phone running the OCLF. My quadrant scores were higher with OCLF and the phone wasn't buggy as it was with the custom ROM. Also, to get rid of the OCLF lagfix, I didn't have to flash back or know how to open an adb shell to turn it off. Don't get me wrong, I like changing up my phone, but at the end of the day if I want it working as smooth as possible, I always go back to stock with OCLF.
