Facebook every 4 hours

News every 4 hours

I've recently changed the syncing options to reflect the above

before it was weather every 3 hours and everything else manual

News syncing (depending on what news app you use) is the most battery intensive, because it downloads pictures and full text for things you may never read.

I've just got a twitter account that i use to follow only @BreakingNews. The amount of data transfer is tiny, and it usually reports headlines half an hour earlier than anything else, and I don't end up downloading tons of stuff I never read.

I have no need of facebook, people I need to talk to will send me email or IMs or call me, and I'm not stalking anyone, so there is a huge saving in data transfer right there.

I use imap mail accounts only so I get instant notification of those without having to even check for mail syncs.
