Running non-android market apps
my friend has the Samsung Fascinate, and he can run non-market apps. when he tells me where to go to turn on this setting, i have no option to do so. after some searching, ive come to the conclusion that i can only do this if i root my phone, which i really dont want to do... is there any other way to do this? is this something that will change with Froyo?

Word of advice, follow the directions carefully. Any apps you download, put in the same folder where the AC-SWM files are located - that seemed to work the best for me.Motorola Droid > HTC Aria > Samsung Captivate (Serendipity 7) > Virgin Mobile Optimus V (CM7) > Motorola Atrix > HTC Flyer
