Unlocked Captive

Hi yall,

Does the Unlocked Captive w/o service still include the ATT crap on it? I'm looking at getting one for Christmas for my wife.

Yeah, Unlocking does just that, unlocks the phone for use on other GSM carriers. You will still need to root and remove all the bloatwear yourself or install a custom ROM that does that for you. Lots of Roms really help out the phone, makes the GPS better albeit still bad for some. They also make the phone much faster. I would look at xda in the development section and look for Cognition, Perception, Cognadianbacon, Axura, MikeyMike and many other people that have made Roms. Each offers their own benefit and some people stick with only one dev so it really is up to you what would be the best for you.
