unlock and have wifi?

2 quick questions on the Captivate. Looks like it can be unlocked to use with Tmobile, yes or no?? And, is it WIFI capable?

3G may not be an issue as it will be a non-data plan phone, but if I need to for some reason it appears that this phone is capable of using the 2100 band which tmo supports (if there are any in my area).

So yes, the phone itself can be unlocked really easily (do some google searches or watch some youtube ... its one heck of an easy free unlock). The resulting unlocked phone can indeed be used with the big T.

It is wifi capable, and if you don't feel like paying extra $ for a wireless "hotspot" tethering service (turns your phone into a wifi hotspot that you can connect your PC, PS3, XBOX to), download Wireless Tether (first root your captivate before installing)
